is the New Summer Home for THE NEWS IN REVUE.

THE THEATER:
THE NEWS IN REVUE is excited to spend its 14th smash season in the Berkshires at its brand new home, The Mountainside Playhouse at the foot of the historic Bousquet Mountain Ski Resort. THE NEWS IN REVUE had performed at The Cranwell Resort, Spa and Golf Club in Lenox for seven years and is excited to be moving just over the Lenox line to the newly invigorated cultural hub of Pittsfield. The Mountainside Playhouse is a stone’s throw from the region’s famous cultural attractions and features a spacious room with first-rate cabaret-style seating and great sightlines.
Roomy and comfortable, the Mountainside Playhouse provides the perfect atmosphere to sip a
glass of crisp chardonnay or nibble on a decadent dessert while laughing at the clever take on
world events.
THE DINNER:
Picnic and Politics…
New this year is a casual Sunset Barbeque where you can feast al fresco on traditional off-the-grill fare. It’s a perfect way to enjoy the Berkshire countryside as part of THE NEWS IN REVUE
experience.
Sunset BBQ Menu
- Burgers (beef and veggie) with all the trimmings
- Barbequed chicken
- Tossed mesclun salad
- Homemade potato salad
- Hickory smoked baked beans
Show and dinner for $55 a person? You’ve got to be kidding!
It’s the best value in the Berkshires… Sunset, salad and satire for ONLY $55 per person – and
that INCLUDES tax and tip! For those of you who are allergic to fresh air and a good old-fashioned
backyard barbeque, show-only tickets are available for $40 each.
Leave room for dessert… Really yummy desserts, coffee, and wine and beer
will be sold in the theater before the show.
THE SHOW:
This year’s all-new show is chock full of comedy and commentary torn from page one of the
newspapers. When Time Magazine noted that at THE NEWS IN REVUE, “Today’s headlines
become tonight’s routines”, they weren’t just whistling Dixie. This summer’s all-new 2007 edition
promises to be a veritable comic bonanza. You can always expect a few surprises because as
news stories break, THE NEWS IN REVUE is on the job, producing topical tunes from their uniquely
zany perspective.
